Tanisha Davis-Doss
Big Brothers Big Sisters Puget Sound Vice President of Programs and Compliance
Greater Seattle Area
I am a Graduate of the Historically Black College/University, Grambling State University (1996) with a B.A in Political Science. From there, I went on to obtain my Master’s in Education, with a focus on Educational Leadership/Principal Certification (2002) from City University. As a person who has always wanted to advocate for children, I have been dedicated to working on behalf of disenfranchised youth for 25 years, starting back to my summers off from college spent tutoring and directing summer school programs for homeless teens. For over 15 years, I have worked as a consultant around race and equity, primarily focusing on the area of education. My most recent endeavor is joining BBBSPS to expand the intentionality of mentorship in historically oppressed communities, while encouraging the aspect of Cultural Humility to all.
