Cleveland High School
Abolitionist Educator
Tymmony Keegan identifies as a Black and White-adjacent, mixed-raced queer educator and is a Humanities teacher at Cleveland HS. She’s been an educator in different capacities at non-profit, gov’t and labor organizations. Her success is rooted in the transformation of people and communities around her. Her legacy is the relationships she’s cultivated, and the resulting positive transformations in individuals and organizations alike. She is an ever-evolving anti-racist, a practicing abolitionist educator, and an aspiring inspirer. She believes that black trans lives matter, in authenticity and genuine connections, and that healing the world starts with the healing of self. She believes in recognizing the labor invested in cultivating the fruit borne of seeds past, that it’s imperative that schools become different and better, and that the hope of this moment and these times will win.
